UniqTech CO., LTD. ("UniqTech", "we", "us") operates the website uniqtech.dev, the software products we publish (UniqRouter, UniqTunnel, UniqDDNS) and the internal business tools we run for our own team (together, the "Service").
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It also explains, in a dedicated section below, exactly how we handle data obtained through Google APIs.
--- INFORMATION WE COLLECT ---
INFORMATION YOU GIVE US
When you send us a message through our contact form, request a project estimate, or apply for a job, we collect what you type into that form. Typically that is your name, email address, company, and the description of your enquiry. Job applicants additionally submit a CV, which may contain the personal details you chose to put in it.
INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
When you visit the website we record the pages viewed, the approximate country, the IP address of the request, and basic request metadata. We use this to understand which content is useful and to protect the forms from abuse. We also use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic statistics; you can read the Google privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNTS
Our staff sign in to an internal admin area. For those accounts we store the name, email address, role, and a record of sign-ins and administrative actions, so that changes to business data can be attributed to a person.
--- GOOGLE USER DATA AND GOOGLE APIS ---
Parts of our internal tooling connect to Google APIs so that our own marketing team can work with our own Google accounts. This connection is made by an authorised UniqTech administrator; it is not offered to website visitors, and we do not ask visitors to connect a Google account.
WHAT WE REQUEST, AND WHY
We request the Google Ads scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords for a single purpose: to read Keyword Planner metrics (average monthly search volume and advertiser competition) for keywords we have already chosen, so our editorial team can prioritise which articles to write. We use the Google Search Console API, through a service account we control, to read the search performance of pages we publish. We do not create, edit, pause, or delete advertising campaigns, and we do not spend advertising budget through the API.
WHAT WE STORE
We store the OAuth refresh token needed to keep the connection working, and the numeric results returned for our keywords (search volume, competition, impressions, clicks, and average position). Credentials are held as server-side environment configuration, are never written into our public website, and are never exposed to browsers. We do not read Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service, and we request no scope that would allow it.
LIMITED USE DISCLOSURE
UniqTech's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the features described above; we do not transfer that data except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition; we do not use it for advertising; we do not sell it; and we do not allow humans to read it except with explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
REVOKING ACCESS
The connected Google account can withdraw our access at any time from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops all further reads immediately. To have the figures already retrieved deleted from our systems as well, write to us at the address at the end of this policy.
--- HOW WE USE INFORMATION ---
We use the information described above to:
respond to your enquiry or estimate request; assess a job application; operate, secure, and improve the website and our products; understand which content is useful so we can write more of it; and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the contents of your enquiry to train generalised artificial intelligence models.
--- SHARING ---
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf so that the Service can function. These currently include our hosting and email providers, Google (analytics and the APIs described above), and, where a request is processed with the help of an AI model, the model provider that returns the result. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
--- HOW LONG WE KEEP IT ---
Website activity records, which include IP addresses, are deleted automatically after 90 days. Enquiries and job applications are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and to keep proper business records, then deleted. Metrics retrieved from Google APIs are kept only while they remain useful for editorial planning, and are refreshed or removed after that. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
--- HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION ---
The Service is served over HTTPS. Access to the admin area requires an account, and permissions are granted per feature, so staff can reach only what their role requires. API credentials are stored as server-side configuration, separate from the application code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these measures seriously and review them.
--- YOUR RIGHTS ---
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants additional rights, such as the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, those rights apply and we will honour them.
--- COOKIES ---
We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in to the admin area, to remember your language, and for the analytics described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the public website will still work, though the admin area cannot keep you signed in without them.
--- CHILDREN ---
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
--- CHANGES TO THIS POLICY ---
We may update this policy. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top and publish the new version on this page. Material changes will be made clear. Please review this page periodically.
